Course Overview

This qualification would apply to individuals with various job titles including executive officers, program consultants and program coordinators. Individuals in these roles may possess substantial experience in a range of settings but seek to further develop their skills across a wide range of business functions.

Conversely, it may also apply to those with little or no vocational experience, but who possess sound theoretical business skills and knowledge that they would like to develop in order to create further educational and employment opportunities.

Entry Requirements

There are no entry requirements specified for this qualification within the training package however previous experience in Business would be very beneficial.

Further, applicants will need to demonstrate an English proficiency level equivalent to IELTS 5.5, be 18 years of age or over and have satisfactorily completed Australian Year 12 or equivalent.

Delivery and Assessment arrangements

Total number of units of competency (subjects) required to receive this qualification is 8, comprising of 8 elective units. These are listed on the following page.

The majority of components for this course, delivery and assessment, will be delivered during the course however learners are required to continue their study off site to ensure they gain a comprehensive understanding of the topic within each unit of competency.

Students are expected to spend 30 hours per unit, studying off site.

Course duration

The BSB50215 Diploma of Business is offered over 12 months, equating to 52 weeks, including 12 weeks holidays. This will be split into four 10 week terms. You will receive an orientation from your trainer within one week of your enrolment.

Resources

The RTO will ensure students have access to a range of resources as required in the units and training package however students will be required to have access to their own computers (including software programs such as Microsoft Office), printers, internet facilities, and stationery resources. Students will also be required to bring their own device to each session ensuring it has connectivity to the internet.

Students will be provided with a textbook, Business Administration (2nd Ed) by Kris Cole & BAX Associates for the course along with various course notes for each unit. Support texts will be available online through BookBoon.com

Fees and charges

Total Course Fee is AUD $8,000 comprising

  • Enrolment Fee – AUD$150.00 (non-refundable)
  • Student Resources – textbooks and printed notes – $350.00
  • Tuition Fees – $7,500

Payment schedule

On enrolment: Applicants are required to pay $150 non-refundable enrolment fee + $350 resource + $500 tuition fee = Total $1,000.

During the course: 10 subsequent payments of $700 will be made at monthly intervals.

Location

Training and assessment will be delivered at c/o Central Mail Clearing PO Box 7027 Mannering Park 2259 by way of classroom, face to face delivery.
